asus mb and asus video card..asus or ati drivers?
Asus P6X58D Mb and Asus EAH5870 video card.
This is a fresh install of Win7 for gaming and multimedia. I was wondering which brand of drivers I should use. That would be 10.11 Ati or 8782 for Asus. |

Thanks guys. At first glance one would assume the logical thing would be to go for the Asus. I think that driver was dated May 2010. The Ati one was Nov 2010 and they seemed to have one almost every month. There was even a "pre-release" version dated Dec 2010. I seem to remember having a bit of problem removing an Ati driver for an upgrade. Or maybe it was the Asus one. I not quite sure, and wanted to avoid that kind of issue. I think it didn't show up in the "Add-Remove programs" menu. Thanks again for your advice. Dave |
