X-No-Archive: Yes " Wait a minute... Let me see if I have this right. You installed Dell Support on my computer and then tell me that if I don't want the upgrade, I'm going to have to pay you help me get off what you put on? Ummm... Uninstall it? ..........just turn it off in the Settings screen uncheck "Run on Windows Start up". Besides, it's a good program, kina looks over your shoulder and checks to see if everything is functioning OK. What the hell is the big deal? If you don't want it, turn it off. What a bunch of woosess. |

I uninstalled mine through add/remove programs (and it did uninstall).
Since then, I reinstalled it. My guess is if it's not listed in add/remove, you just need to reinstall it, get the uninstaller to reload through add/remove and take it out that way. As I wrote in a previous post on this subject, you can just stop it from loading at Windows start. From there, you can always manually delete it from disk if ur so inclined. Personally I like the little fella and intend to keep it. (One of the few out of many). I have worked on all models of dells, seeing new ones almost every month, and I've never been unable to remove this software. If all else fails just reinstall the entire system. This usually my first step anyway and then don't install the dell crapware to begin with. That sounds a little drastic doesn't it? I believe that all of their junk is removable through add/remove programs. Faster and easier IMO. |
