Problem scanning odd-sized negs with Epson V750Pro
I'm hoping someone has experience with this.
I have to scan tons of 110 negatives on the V750 Pro. There is no film holder for that size and putting them on the glass created too many Norton rings to deal with. Epson suggested I make my own cardboard holders for all of the odd negatives. I've done that, but cannot marquis the individual frames properly. I do a preview scan (in professional mode) of the whole bed. I then marquis each negative frame. The scanner moves the marquis over and catches only half the frame when scanning. The only way that has worked is to marquis one frame, hit "zoom" which previews again and enlarges, and shows the marquis in the wrong place. I then move the marquis to the frame edges again in the zoom window and scan. I can't do this for every frame, I have hundreds to scan. I also have to scan the old Kodak wheel film, where every frame will be at an angle. The scanner is moving the marquis and missing the frames on those too. Can anyone help? Is there some setting I'm missing? Thanks, Rhonda |

Are you certain that you de-activated all the aut-exposure, auto-size, auto-position, etc.... options? HTH, Edward |

It does seem like an auto-postion thing, but I haven't found what controls that. It's not a setting in professional mode that I can find, maybe it was pre-set. I will have to look more into it tomorrow. Thanks, Rhonda |

I have put up some tips at the following link which should help you set up a manual batch scan: http://www.betterscanning.com/scanni...hscanning.html Doug -- www.BetterScanning.com - Custom Film Holders and Accessories for Agfa, Microtek and Epson Scanners |
