Default My Book gets hot

I just started using a new 500 GB WD My Book. I have it next to a
Seagate 400 GB Push Button drive and when copying files from the
Seagate to the WD drive the My Book gets much hotter than the Seagate.
Is this usual for My Book drives?

Thanks
Mike
