OpenGL in Catalyst 6.7 by
Will
The 3D configuration for RADEON used to let you configure 3D settings for
DirectX and OpenGL separately. Now in Catalyst there is only a section
named "3D". Do the settings in this section apply to both technologies?
Is there a way to tweak OpenGL separately?

Another AIW800XT problem -- static in TV sound by
Chris DiPierro
Ok, another issue. When I watch TV, I get a great deal of background sound.
Oddly, I don't seem to have to send the audio to my sound card via the line
in (like my old AIW), but the sound is unlistenable. You can hear the
correct sound in the background, but the static is far louder. Help?

TV out problems by
mga
I have an AIW 2006 PCI Express.
I hadn't had any problems displaying the output to a TV through the
S-video connection.
When I select "Force TV Detection" Catalyst recognizes the TV, and then
I select for the TV to "clone the main display", but nothing is
displayed on the TV.

(1) 512MB or (2) 256MB cards? by
[email protected]
I am getting ready to purchase a new system...Does anyone have an
opinion if I am better off to purchase (1) 512MB video card or (2)
256MB cards for a system?
I don't think I am going to be able to swing (2) 512MB cards, so I need
to make a choice...
Thoughts? TIA!

[email protected]
I bought a 9600 AIW on ebay, and got the breakout cable and install CD
from ATI.
Installed it in my 3G P4, 512M PC, Windows 2000, SP4. It seemed to
install everything I expected, but when it got all finished, I didn't
have the control center shortcuts or access in the Programs menu. I ran
the test...

I just got a new Theater Pro 650 for OTA HD recording, but am having
problems. When I run the setup program on the included CD, it locks the
machine hard, right after the ATI logo. Have to power off -- can't even
soft boot.
So, I downloaded the drivers from ATI.com and the card is installed....

About drivers for A9800XT by
[email protected]
This may sound or seem rather lame, but I'll tell you googling for a
real site to download drivers for Radeon A9800XT pro is a bad dream.
Using Asus site itself is even a worse nightmare. Not to mention
those drivers, at least the ones that came with my card, do not solve
my problem.
The...
