Aero 7+ (80mm) vs. Aero 7 Lite by
Nil Einne
Hey all,
Does anyone know of any reviews which compare the larger 80 mm (80 x
80 x 70 mm fan, 80 x 80 x 51 mm heat sink) Aero 7+ with the Aero 7
Lite?
I know that CoolTechZone and DataFuse compared them but I asked the
DataFuse person and he said he thought it was indeed the smaller one.
The...

question on my PC3200 by
I have a quick question about my memory and setup in terms of overclocking..
I purchased Corsair PC3200 memory with the expectation that it can run at
400mhz, but it seems to fail in this ambition (i get a memory error in the
bios, have to reboot the machine). When I when I try to overclock the...

Athlon XPs 2500, 2600, 2700, 2800 by
Phil, Squid-in-Training
Hey group. I'm wondering what the difference between the different XPs are.
I know that there are 133 and 166 versions of each, but it appears that big
gains are attained with the 2700 and 2800 (at 333ddr). I'm upgrading my
comp because it got fried this past summer and I've been using a laptop...

Underclock AMD X2 4800/2500? by
[email protected]
Hi - I've done a lot of digging and can't find the answer to this...
I have an AMD X2 65nm 4800 which runs at 2500MHz.
I also have DDR2-6400 800MHz RAM.
Would the system be faster if I used the stock 12.5 multiplier while
the RAM runs at 714MHz, or is it better to drop the multiplier to 12
and...

Synchronize vs. non-synchronize FSB/Memory speed? by
Ohaya
Hi,
I've seen numerous posts indicating that it's best to synchronize the CPU
FSB and memory bus speeds (i.e., 1:1 ratio), and I've been "experimenting"
and have some questions that I hope that you all can help with. This
experimentation is mainly for educational purposes (my own), so please...

There is 1500 (2200+) and a 2000 (2800+) in the Sempron model 10

In these two AMD publications on page 21 (as numbered by AMD) of each
document they show a pair of 1500 (2200+) and a 2000...

Athlon 64 3200+ price drops today by
Wes Newell
With the introduction of the A64 3400+, the 3200+ has dropped to $270
(from about $400). The $270 price is from Newegg. It's now lower in price
than the XP 3200+ ($299) which is considerably slower.

Dual Channel Memory on Single Channel boards? by
Rich Lowe
If I buy memory in a dual channel pack (2x512MB) it will still work
alright in a single channel board right? The memory is:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=20-146-985&depa=1
And my motherboard is an MSI K8N Neo Platinum
Thanks a bunch,

Real World Performance - 512MB vs. 1GB System Memory. . by
Wayne Youngman
Hi,
I was just curious as to your thoughts on the subject of system memory. I
currently have 2 x 256MB (512MB total) in my AMD system, but I am quite
tempted to swap-out these sticks for 2 x 512MB versions. I am running
windows XP Pro, and I intend to start learning Video-Editing where I will...

This may be useful or informative to those of you who install Heat Sinks and
Fans on your processor on the motherboard.
Recently I built a new AMD-based computer.
When putting on the new heatsink, I decided to take a few hours trying
different heat sinks & fan combinations, to see what...

More proof that Intel sucks by

I have been building AMD's for a few yrs but made the mistake of buying a
Celeron 2.3GHZ 256MB Dell Latitude ($600 new). What a dog! Decoding Naked

A T-Bred 1700+ running @2000+ (1.67GHz) uses only 15%.
And it feels so slow, even...
