Default Hosting question

Can't seem to find a suitable hosting group that's actually active, and as I
frequent this group occasionally I figured I may as well ask here so
apologies if you've got something against this...

What is the difference between co-lo hosting providers that provide prices
based on, from what I understand as being, 'bandwidth'
(http://www.zen.co.uk/products/body_p...sp?ProdId=2060 for example -
the term "bandwidth" meaning what I believe it to mean in the sense of the
word), and those providers that provide "bandwidth" in terms of throughput
in GB per month and from the other meaning of the word "bandwidth" is simply
provided as ethernet speeds?
