MP3+ problem
Hi all,
I have a MP3+ USB card (SB0270). I use it connected to a PIII 700Mhz with 384Mb of ram. The laptop has as USB 1.1 connection; the card has a connection to my Denon 2800 sound amplifier through the S/PDIF connection (optical cable). The ampli is the main driver of my Home Theather system and is also connected to my old Pioneer 626 dvd player. My problem is that, even if I upgrade to the latest driver for the card (1.000.30 something, june 2005) I continue to hear scratched during audio playback. In particular: - I have tried to disable and enable all level of audio acceleration - I did tests with 48Khz and 44Khz as output setting - I have used different players, from VLC to TheaterTek - The cable works fine if connected to my pioneer - I have changed the USB cable with no benefits - I have disables all acceleration for the video - The problems is present with playback from dvd or hard disk (and yes, I have DMA enabled) What makes me suspicious is that the problem arises even playing MIDI files! So it doesn't seem something related to low bandwidth (1.1 connection) or slow pc! Has anyone any advice? Could it be a bad soundcard? (bought used on Ebay?)
