And I'll third them. 1) They once sent me some 48x disks that would only write at 40x. They sent me others that did write at 48, and did not ask for the others back. 2) _Top notch_ customer service. Asked if they could tell me what silver-top printable DVDs looked like when printed. They sent me a sample of three to try. 3) Made BIG mistake of using Novatech for some cheap DVDs...managed to get some disks with (I strongly suspect) fake dye info. They are my preferred supplier for anything that they stock. -- Cheers, Guy I like them too, Though I'm not a big buyer What I do buy is not only good value but delivered quickly. I cant praise the complaints service as I have never needed to use it |

I deal with viking-direct, supplier of office consumables and equipment, on a weekly basis for our office supplies ( I have absolutely no connection with Viking). Virtually without exception, if I order 1 day, I get it the next. I recently had a problem, order 1 item, and the next day a different item arrived. The supplied invoice had the correct part number, but that was not what was delivered. First time in ages I had to To be fair to the online computer suppliers though, Viking have a very much larger gross profit margin to work with. They target the SME market for whom service & reliability is everything, price a fair way behind. It's not uncommon for basic items to cost more than my local Stationary Box. A few people have commented that Viking prices are expensive. I've checked around a LOT, and when they do specials on an item, i can't beat them. I used them for padded envelopes, and photocopy paper, and some labels etc. For small orders, with free next day delivery, I find they are he cheapest around, especially if you bulk buy when the specials are on. Ok, I live in a small rural town, and so I only have online options for a range of stationary, perhaps the large shop based stationers can beat them for price. You dont check hard enough, there packaging, especially bubble wrap and jiffybags are a major rip off, not compared to wh Smiths maybe but to a company who specialise in packing they are, depends how much you buy. We had a rep in onece who showed us the difference in their prices and free delivery most people offer if you have an account with them andy |
