Default Packard bell 1030 Motherboard

I was reading elsewhere
Yes I do not live only here

A so called tech on a so called site said
that a PB 1030 motherboard would not allow a
video card upgrade

He said that it would short out the board

Maybe I am missing something
I have seen a post here a long time ago
where a gentlemen did that upgarde but was unable
to get his resolution greater than 640 x 800

Is this tech full of **** or just reading back
from a list

How could a PCI card that is a video card short
out a MB

Then again how could an ISA card do the same

Isa cards are used when a bios has gone astray
and the screen needs to be seen on boot

Sounds like a bunch of **** to me too. There is no way a PCI video card
would short out the board. If it did how could you do ANY upgrading (modem,
NIC, ect...).

Anthony
