Default TFT monitor?

I'm getting a TFT monitor next week, does anyone know if the DVI
connection comes as standard or do I have to buy the connection separate?

That totally depends on the monitor. TFT monitors are made with and without
DVI connections. Video cards are also made with and without DVI
connections. If you plan to use it, you'd better make sure that both your
video card and your monitor have the right connections. -Dave

Depends on what you need in terms of size and how much you want to spend.
Samsung makes a 17" lcd "173T" that comes with both connections also
includes the cables for both analog and digital connections.

Check out the Sony SDM-X53. I'm using it and like it very much. 400:1
contrast ratio and 300cd/m^2 brightness. Has a good crisp picture and you
can run it at 1024x768. Has both a DVI and the traditional 15 pin
connectors. You should be able to find it for $350-$375 USD. It is above
the price of other 15" LCDs, but all LCDs with a DVI currently cost more.
