4 DIMMS vs 2

Question(s): is it even possible to hit 400mzh on 4 dimms (2x512mb and
2x1gb)? How much loss is to be expected? Also, if I bought DDR 500
would it have better luck running 4dimms at 400mzh?

The problem you have is that it is not necessarily the
memory. Many motherboards
crap out when running 4 sticks instead of 2. You will have
to experiment, but new memory
may not fix it. I really doubt that a 20% drop in memory
timings is that noticeable
in regard to system speed.
