how to get into setup after battery dead?
Which Presario? 900 series?

I booted my compaq presario 486dx 2/66 and the bios told me that the date and time had been lost. however, it booted into windows 98. i shut it down, replaced the battery, and now it says at bootup: 1782-Disk Controller Failure 1792-Secondary Disk Controller Failure 162-Options not set i assume i need to go into setup and reset some lost settings. but i can't get into setup. i've got compaq setup disk on floppy but the computer doesn't go to the floppy. what do i do? thanks for the help gary -- Gary Roach ADB Services

Same problem, no setup disks etc. It a compaq presario 5108us
