Default 5345 Clean Install ME

I want to do a clean install of MS Me. I've read everything I can find on
the web and still have one very big problem after I install ME. You guessed
it - USB drivers. For the life of me (no pun intended) I can't get my USB
ports to function. I have a PCI problem, too. Everything is stock on the
computer except for one drive and a CDRW drive that I disconnect from the
computer before doing either the ME install or the Compaq QR from CD.

Really can't afford to buy a good computer, so could some kind soul help me
with this one?

TIA,
Sue

Maybe the SiS website has drivers for the 530/5595 chipset and/or 6801 Super
I/O controller chip.
Try http://www.SiS.com/

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately, every time I click on something to
download I get a page not found. Sigh.

Susan,

Did you check the BIOS to see if the USB ports are even enabled?
