Default Double Sided printing without Duplexer

Hi,

I used to print on my dad's printer, a HP Deskjet 720C, working on
Windows 98SE.

Now I've bought my own printer (and computer) and try to do the same
trick I did on his computer...

(I've got a Deskjet 960C and WinXP Pro)

When I was on his computer, I could easily print double-sided. I just
selected the option, the printer started and when done with the first
half, I got the message: "Turn the paper and put it back in the
papertray then press continue"
(or something, it was Dutch) now, I also don't have a Duplexer on this
new machine, but I just can't select the option for 2-sided printing,
and if I use the 2-sided installed option, I get no message, it just
starts printing and turning the page 'upside-down'every time....

What do I need to do to get this fixed???

Thanks in advance!

In the Open Office word processor (and in the corresponding one of a
work-alike product called Microsoft Office) you can specify odd, even
(right, left; recto, verso) printing. You'll probably have to flip each
page after it's been printed on one side and be careful not to rotate it
or you will get head to tail printing. Many other software packages have
this option.
