CPU & videocard Upgrade questions
Hé people,
A CPU FSB 400MHz Willamette is working on a FSB 100MHz MOBO, but is a CPU (Northwood) with FSB 533MHz going to work? Greetz |

What is the fastest CPU with only 100MHz FSB? Used to be 2.0GHz but now maybe 2.4 or 2.6GHz. |

Bottleneck will be sdram 133 mhz. Intel Celeron got to 2,9 GHz but with 256 L2 cache. |

I suppose I had assumed it was a DDR (mem) based board, since some do run DDR memory. It would probably be best to not upgrade the CPU then, the PC133 memory is too much bottleneck for good bang per buck benefit. Obviously then best to replace the motherboard and memory first. |
