Windows 10 - the final nail in the coffin for Linux desktop

Has it a certain "stink"? Does it smell? And how do you know in advance that a site you are going to visit serves your next malware? Is aquiring psychic powers part of that "special knowledge" you need to run windows? Aren't you just a bit ashamed to admit that you can't operate a Windows PC among your peers? |

Maybe you should try paying for your Windows products instead of stealing them or getting infected warez site crap from your friends. Or just simply visiting internet sites. That seems to be the most dangerous act of being careless with windows systems Only if you're gullible and stupid. If a website says you have to install software to view it, stupidity makes you click the yes / ok button. A smart person just closes the browser. |

That's your first mistake right there. Assuming that Windows operates like Linux. What an imbecile Peter the Klöwn is. If a website tells you that your Flash player is outdated, chances are that it's serving malware. If it tells you that you need to update your "media player," you can bet that whatever it wants you to download is garbage. If you get an e-mail from an unknown source and it gives you a bill, chances are that you're about to be infected. People who use Windows have brains and are able to avoid these problems whether they have an anti-virus or not. Apparently, brains are in short supply in modern Germany and especially in the Klöwn household. ...that kind of defies the whole point. No that is the point. There is no reason to ever get an infected Windows system unless you are just plain careless. You mean "careless" as in "letting it connect to a network"? It's not our fault if you can't secure your computers on ordinary networks. Peter wouldn't be able to figure out how to restore his vision if we put a paper bag on his head and it blinded him. If I need to be a wizard guru in order to safely use something then I might as well just use VMS. I run a four node VMScluster on two AMD VMWare boxes with SIMH. Naturally. And it is located right at the rim of that flat world you live on I'd give you a login account but that would overwhelm your abilities and you might kill yourself. Mainz, Germany would thank you. -- Slimer Encrypt. "Like NTFS, which is at best at beta stage right now?" - Peter "the Klöwn" Köhlmann suggesting that NTFS is an unfinished filesystem in defense of ext4 being shown to corrupt data in Linux's 4.0 kernel |

The entire modern web is an exercise in running untrusted code from as many sources as possible all at once. Even under ideal circumstances, that's an ugly prospect. -- The social cost of suing/prosecuting individuals ||| for non-commercial copyright infringement far outweighs / | \ the social value of copyright to begin with. |
