Default Really in a bind, request help...

All,
I have a Lexmark x125 that had a paper jam last night with some labels. When
I removed the jam, the printer encoding strip came out with it. I found
where it attaches on the right side of the printer as you're facing it, but
not on the left. Lexmark is no help; they say they're not authorized to
provide this info. I guess they gotta keep those certified techs in
business. Problem is it would cost more to fix then replace, which my
financial position will not allow. ANY help would be greatly appreciated.
TIA,
IrvG

Not sure about the Lexmark but many printer have a spring one end to tension
it. I there isn't one on the right then perhaps the spring fell off with the
strip?
