My Board has a Via KT 266 Chip and my Athlon Prozessor has a T-Bred B!!
I can not change things like V-Core in my Bios!

It is a simple Bios!

I donīt know, if i should connect two pins of my Prozessor like in one link of you!

I donīt Know, that my Prozessor will work normaly!

If I knew what MB you had I might be able to help more.

Again, I don't know what you are refering to here.

Wish I could help more, but I think there's a language barrier here. If
your board doesn't support multiplier or vcore changes, try this link.

Hi i just wondered what this modding does? does it unlock the CPU for higher
multiplying settings ie I ve got the system below:

AMD 2500xp
MSI KT3 ultra
crucial 333 ddr

now i can only set the multiplyer to 12.5/13 x166fsb this gives me a 2800xp
on the bios. if i raise the fsb from 166 to 177 it s ok but any higher its
unstable.

so this mod on the chip if i do it will it turn the chip for instance to an
xp3200 with just modding the chip?

thanks inadvance

you will prolly need more voltage too, andrew.

vcore = voltage of the cpu core btw.

sort of - you set the multiplier that you want and it is then fixed at that
multiplier until you move the pieces of wires and try another setting- I
used the wire in socket option as it seems easier.

It is just the ticket - I have an Asus A7V333 and generic pc2700 - I am now
running at 167x14 (2340Mhz) - although I found I could not run my ram as
fast as I could with a lower cpu clock. But it sure beats 12.5 x 172 - my
previous stable best and the board maxed out as standard.

Ello again

well i ve up ed the voltage from default 1.65 to 1.70 and this seems to ave
done the trick it seems more stable at 2.23 ghz temp went up abit full load
is now about 54 c which is quite good.

i m going to have a go at the moding but what sort of wire can i use? and
how safe is it? i m copying the diagram of the website on this thread.

i m considering water cooling after christmas, expensive month.

Thanks for all your help guys

(where does everyone get there info from books web sites i very keen to
learn)

The 2500+ has a default multiplier of 11. To access the higher multipliers
on boards that don't fully support the 5th multiplier bit, the cpu has to
have a default of 13 or higher. Or you can manually wire the 5th bit high.

now i can only set the multiplyer to 12.5/13 x166fsb this gives me a 2800xp

12.5x177 should give you over 2200MHz. I wouldn't mess with it. What
little more you'll get out of it isn't worth the effort.

so this mod on the chip if i do it will it turn the chip for instance to an

At 12.5x177, you are very close to 3200+ performance now, and you are
actually running the cpu faster than the 3200+ default of 2200MHz
(11x200).
