SB Live in DOS

Anytime I try to run something in DOS mode, I get no sound. I've checked
the knowledge base, but it does not apply to me as I do not have a DOSDRV
subfolder anywhere in ProgramFiles\Creative. I've tried reinstalling off
the CD and downloading off the internet, but it never gives me that folder
or the programs in it. I've also tried using generic Sound Blaster drivers
in DOS. And anytime I try to run an autodetect it either fails, or locks my
computer (depending on the program). This happens whether I'm running in a
DOS shell or running straight DOS mode.

You can trick a lot of dos programs to run in windows using a shortcut
to the dos executable.Make a shortcut/Right click/properties and set
the options you want like,"Don't let windows detect MSdos programs".
