Default IE6 download

Is it possible to get an installable version of this? All that MS provide
(as far as I can find), is ie6setup.exe which then goes and does the
installs. I'd like to put IE6 on a friend's PC (a requirement of some other
software), but they don't have a dsl/cable connection.
TIA for any advice.

I don't know if this is true with version 6, but you used to be able to
acquire all the files necessary for version 5.5 on MSN CDs. There was a
directory called Iexplore or something like that that contained the
install program. Other ISP provider CDs might also have this software.

There's a switch you can use when you run the setup file to download all the
files to a specified directory. Can't remember off the top of my head what
it is though. Google for it - the answer's around somewhere ...

Isn't that always the way. I did do a quick google myself - honest.
Thanks for the link.
I fiddled about on MS's web site and managed to download (to a folder) a
complete IE6 install. Can't remember what I did but I recall it having
something to do with the 'Administrative Kit'.

IE6sp1 is available on nearly every coverdisk ar the newsagents. Spend
AS$7.95, get all the files you need, and a bit of reading as well!
