Background noise/unclear audio on AIW 128 Rage Pro
Under Win98 I had to install an older Audio Crossbar driver to fix this
problem. Basically, I get unclear audio witha background hissing that is suppressed when there is proper audio. When foreground audio volume drops I get this white-noise hissing. Is there a fix for this under Windows XP? I have MMC7.6 installed.. I also had to install WDM drivers under Win98. Do I need to do anything else under WinXP? Basically, I would appreciate anyone providing me with all the updates and files I need to install to get the best out of the AIW 128 Rage Pro under Windows XP. The card has the Rage Theatre chip. Many thanks Mick |
