Default SP2: all XPs are the same?

OK, I admit that I DL'd SP2 on both my laptop, and on my personal
computer.

My laptop was running XP Home. My PC was running XP Pro. After the
application of SP2, they both have the same splash screen.

So, does SP2 erase the differences between XP Home and Pro versions?
Anybody know?

Yep, all the same now.

Just the splash screen has lost differentiation. The difference still shows
in CP-System.

Is there any way to get the old splas back; just out of curiosity.

No they are still two different version, they just now both share the same
boot up screen. Why the same screen? I haven't a clue.

So far the consensus is no.
