Default Yet another Presario 5221 question.

I have installed windows xp on my friends compaq 5221.
which works ok, but slow. Memory will be upgraded
and hopefully speed up windows a bit.

My question concerns the installing or configuration
of special keyboard functions which currently don't
work after the installation of XP. Is there a special
compaq program to restore the functionality of
the keyboard or can they be configured in XP?

Thanks in advance.

Unlikely. Search www.hpq.com in the support area, but I don't believe Compaq
ever supported the 5221 under XP.

I'm quite aware of compatability mode. Before you spout off, you should be
aware that one of the LIMITATIONS of this mode is that it only works for
applications, NOT for programs that are MONITORS (i.e. keyboard utilities).

Good idea, wrong answer.
