You do know they have to employ people to package and send them to you, dont
you?
Surely you dont expect their employees to work for free?

Woo. Some people do offer free postage as a bit of a loss leader type offer.
See if I GAF if they lose on 1% of the stuff they send out...

Overclock.co.uk has a free 7-day shipping option which I just used and
which took.... well, a week to arrive.

I seem to recall ebuyer having some kind of "super saver" free shipping
tariff too.

There is no such thing as a free lunch.

If a reseller is advertising free carriage they have probably just
added the carriage on to the price of the goods!

Too true. I'm in the market for a Numark TTusb record deck to convert
some of my 550 vinyl albums onto mp3. Using any available price
comparison website, the price ranges from 110 to 130 gbp. The sites
selling it at 110 add 20 gbp as p+p, the sites selling at 120 add 10
gbp p+p and the sites selling at 130 have p+p free - which even I can
work out as everyone is selling at 130 gbp but in a different format.
Waste of time using price search engines, every uk retailer sells at
the same price once you take VAT, postage, and extras into account

They are a plain and simple rip off, use an ordinary turntable and feed
it into your sound card.
