Yes, you two are certainly "petes" in a pod, and you usually deserve one
another. You both add so much useful information to this list. Personally, I'll take grammatical errors, mis-spelling, even bottom posting, from someone who shows the class to express appreciation for someone's help and a bit of civility; something neither of you typically seem capable of. It's so gratifying to find that I am not the only one who finds this ignorant use of 'your' when 'you're' is what is meant. 'Your' is a possessive adjective - for Hades sake people! To use it in any other way shows ignorance and lack of education. |

What color is the cyan ink output in the nozzle check? Is it cyan or
more dark blue? Have you tried to print it onto the cup? It's possible either: a) you cannot reproduce that blue/cyan with the dye-sub inks because they have a more restrictive gamut b) The color changes when it is sublimated to the surface of the mug, etc. and only looks that dark on the transfer paper. I have downloaded and installed the new ICC profile from the ink manufacturer and printed again with no improvement. I have used PSP7 and MS Paint with both programs giving the same results. I need more help! Thanks George "George" wrote in message ... I have a new Epson Stylus C86 printer to print Sublimation ink for printing on mugs. Printer model name: EPSON Stylus C86 Computer Type: PC,Operating System: Windows 98, Interface: USB (Universal Serial Bus) The problem is when I print out an image for the mug the blue color in the image comes out dark purple, I have contacted Epson support and they are helping a little but they tell me they do not support any other ink in their printers. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? I did the head cleaning then the print nozzle check pattern and it was OK and there was no gaps in the lines. Thanks for any help! George |

First of all take two Q tips.
Put it in this cyan ink and make some marks with it on ordinary paper. With a second one repeat the same with some normal ink. O make X marks with these two Q tips. Then show us what you have got. -- Pozdrav adriatic http://adriatix.hr/ "George" wrote in message ... I have a new Epson Stylus C86 printer to print Sublimation ink for printing on mugs. I checked file/preferences/color management in PSP7 and it was not enabled,
so I enabled it. I then Looked in Printer/PowerDriveQC86/file/properties/color management and it had Automatic checked, and I did not change it, I then went into PSP7 and check the colors on the image and needed to increased them to 16 million colors and printed a sample it came out better but still a little dark so I tested it on a mug and it came out perfect :-) Thanks everyone for all your help, George http://home.att.net/~agent99/zoom/epson_sample.html "George" wrote in message ... This stuff is going to be fired in kiln or oven to bake it on, no? Remember the glazes used on pottery in unfired state look nothing like their fired color. |
