Screen width & postion
Today, I updated my system running openSUSE 10.3 to a new GeForce 8500 GT
card. I downloaded and installed the latest driver from the NVidia website. All went well, except at the end of the SAX2 routine, when one tests the settings the position and width controls have no effect. My screen remains "slightly" displaced to the left side no matter how many times I click the adjustment arrows. Have others experienced this behavior and found a solution? Thanks, Godzilla |

Thanks, Godzilla How about adjusting it via your display's controls? Always use DVI for LCD display if possible, you won't have to worry about alignment. For analog connections, it's best to set it per mode via your display's own controls. |

I tried adjusting the display's controls and it worked. Now, you have given me another approach, and it sounds like I should invest in a DVI cable shortly. Thanks, Godzilla |
