Default A7N7X v2 deluxe

I currently have 1Gb in a dual channel config (2 x 512) and want to
add another 1Gb.

Will I lose much performance by adding a 1Gb stick and not using dual
channel access? From what I have read, I won't be able to tell.

I assume you typoed and meant A7N8X deluxe? I have the same board with the
same configuration. I added an extra 512mb stick and in Vista my memory
score actually went down. I had an added problem of frequent crashing so I
assumed it didnt like the memory brand. I didn't notice much difference in
performance so took it back out.

You may not see any problems but the board seems to be a little touchy about
ram.

You can easily move those 2 512MB DIMMs to one channel, putting a stick of
1GB in the other channel making for a balanced setup.

I was just thinking how wonderful life was, when "Egil Solberg"
opened his gob and said:

Thanks for that.
