Default G550 TV-out Quality

The DVDMAX to TV output looks great to me

the output of a computer screen is usable with some of the large alternate
screen programs for doing music and video jukebox etc. only the dual head
zoom is usable for normal PC work and it works well to have a zoomed in part
of the screen on the TV with enough size to read

It is probably better that an external scan convertor -- I've use many of
the sub 1000's of dollars ones and they are not so fun.

Thanks Steven. I wouldn't actually be using DVDMax, but one of the pieces
of PVR software for timeshifted programs. I'd assume that the *relative*
fidelity of the original recording would be preserved, if your DVD looks
good compared to a "normal" DVD output

Hi,

I'm considering a G550 in conjunction with a Creatice Video Blaster

Digital
VCR for a home PVR project.

Does anyone have any comments on the TV-out quality of this card ?

I'd considered a seperate scan converter, but I dislike the idea of
*another* set of cables and power supply to take care of/hide away.

Also although there are many posts on the subject, I still can't work our
whether or not I can connect a TV *only* to the card without a standard
monitor of some kind on the other display. As it happens I have a TFT to
hand that I'l probably use in connjunction, but I'd still like to know.

TIA

Sean
