It usually isn't, which makes Filers a bitch to sell second-hand and is a factor to take into account when making a purchase decision. If you use a lot of functionality/software on your filer, then the licenses are usually the largest part of the investment. When it's time to move to something else then that investment is usually down the toilet unless you make upfront arrangements with NetApp. Rob
