NTFS cluster size based on file size distribution
Increased cluster sizes on some NTFS backup partitions and was
wondering if anybody has seen some guidance as to cluster size as a function of file size distribution (statistically). I.E. if 90% of a partition's files are under 50KB you would want a small cluster size, if 90% are greater than 50MB you would want a large cluster size, etc. -- Missionaries are perfect nuisances and leave every place worse than they found it. ~ Charles Dickens |
