So why are you bitching about your imaginary HP?

Did you see the video?
How do you figure its imaginary? Honest question.
Are you blind as well as stupid? Did I search teh intarnetz for these

Its not like you have any industry or job experience so why is this so
hard for you to believe?
I replaced the battery and AC adapter and this is the result.
Yes, I let the battery charge.

Here's a video of the ficticious HP next to the ficticious Macbook Pro, on
the ficticious desk taken by a fictitious camera.

How do you 'Dozers put up with this kind of quality? Can't you afford an
Apple? Are you the kind of asshole who buys a Dodge Caliber, brags and
buys another one every year?
Are you so set in your ways you refuse to learn something new? You'll get
really far with that attitude.

Actually, I have gotten far - very far. Now the problem is how to get far

Yes, you got to usenet - that's far.

Am I the only one who picked up on this? "Now the problem is how to get far

done, problem solved!

Ah, our great Marxist hope! I voted for him too, a decision that I am
starting to regret. He is nowhere near as left-wing as he seemed before
the
election, and he also seems to be fairly incompetent, and in spite of his
Democratic Congress, almost totally ineffectual.

I think you might be paying a little too much attention to the 24 hour
news media, which tends not to understand how things get done in DC or
the pace at which actual politics works. They became a little too used
to how things worked under Bush, where everything was very top down, was
oversimplified, and Congress was, for the most part, just a rubber stamp.

No, you misunderstand me. My main disappointment with Obama is that he told
everyone (through his books) that he was a dedicated Marxist. I expected to
see some real movement in that direction. Other than a half-ass attempt to
nationalize the auto industry and bailing out some banks, he doesn't seem
very Marxist to me.

I can't speak to your bizarre interpretations of Obama's books. From
where I'm sitting, he presented himself during the campaign as a
pragmatic center-left politician and has governed as one. Those on the
right insisting he's some kind of socialist are essentially just making
things up, and those on the left who are shocked that he's not more
liberal were clearly assuming he was what they wanted him to be, rather
than actually listening to his policy positions. (The latter is
particularly obvious with respect to e.g. his Afghanistan policy. Some
on the left appear to have assumed Obama was some sort of pacifist,
because he opposed the Iraq war, despite repeated statements on his part
to the effect that he didn't oppose all wars, just bad wars.)

--

anyone who is entirely exempt from the gambling instinct; whilst he who has it
must pay to this propensity the appropriate toll." -- John Maynard Keynes

If he opposed the Iraq war I wonder why voted in favor of it.

WOW!
You just cant' stop lying! You have a real problem. Honestly, that's a
psychological problem.

Obama wasn't int he senate when the Iraq war vote went though.

HP wanted $104 just to troubleshoot. Of course I talked to "Linda"
whose real name is Deependra Guptda Mukkalukkafukkachucka.
I plug the god damn thing in, and I get a blue pulsating light as
seen
above.

I bought this for my mom last Christmas. Isn't that just wonderful?
Aren't I a good son?
No. I'm a terrible son, I should have bought her a ****ing Mac - but
No, the HP was cheaper.
So let's run down the cost of this piece of ****.

$700 Original cost
$50 Shipping
$100 Tech "troubleshoot" cost
$150+ Repair labor (guestimate)
$160 Motherboard (per ebay)
$20 Power adapter (if that's the problem)
$1,180 Total

WOW! So tell me... How should I quantify the downtime? She runs her
own business. I'll make up a number. $1,000
So the total comes to $2,180.

Where are the savings?

They wanted $100+ just to talk to me? How dare they. How can they
justify that? Doctors and Psychiatrists don't charge that much.
Plumbers don't charge that much for an on site service call, but
these
douchebags want that much just to troubleshoot? I understand a change
for repair - but just to talk? Not even one hour of free phone time.
Call girls (not street walkers) run $200 for the first hour. So
talking to some stinky third world crusty chemical infested dumbass
accented Maheshwara worshiping thing; costs half as much as it would
to nail a 21 year old model??!

One more Apple customer.

If I sold this on eBay I would get $400 for it. So I'm supposed to
spend 25% of the total cost just to talk to another Guptda
Mukkalukkafukkachucka so he can tell me I need to pay another $200 to
replace the board?

Last year when I called Apple for a problem with a MB 13" I talked to
an American. Had an RMA in ten minutes, box was sent to me the next
day, shipped to their repair center, and was returned in two more
days. It started on Monday, I had my machine back on Friday.

You called apple while it was UNDER WARRANTY. You are comparing apples
and oranges here.

Why didn't you spring for a 3 year HP warranty, typically onsite NBD
after phone troubleshooting, if this machine is critical for a
business?

It was two expensive. Getting the three year "limited" warranty would
have brought the pricing above $1,000.

I'd Google your problems first & see if there is an easy solution,
like
new power supply.

Steve

Already hit google - it told me nothing other than the DV series is an
utter disaster. Now they tell me.
The power supply would not explain the dead hard drive. Where do I get
another power supply? Pull it out of my ass? Order one off eBay in
case it *might* be the problem? What if it isn? Put it back on ebay
and waste more money?

Hey, YOU'RE the self-proclaimed "MBA". Figure it out. Optimize it!

Yeah, because all MBA programs have "****ty PC selling & buying 201"

Turn in your "MBA". You learned nothing, you're unadaptable, you're
finished.

Is that a fact? I guarantee I own you in terms of business knowledge,

I actually read both "Dreams of my Father" and "The Audacity of Hope". In
both he does everything but come right out and say that he's a Marxist. If
that's a bizarre interpretation, then a lot of people have made the same one.

Mostly right-wing lunatics. You're about the only person I've ever run
across who claims to have believed Obama was a Marxist and is
disappointed that he's not.

Look, the world will eventually turn to Marxism as the only way that an
enlightened society can move forward. I'm committed to that goal and I
thought Obama was as well. I'm disappointed and I now believe that Obama is
headed for a one-term Presidency. Too bad, he showed a lot of promise.

Because he's not enough of a Marxist? Yeah, so you're just trolling.

actually I agree.
I would have liked to have seen a McCain presidency. a war with Iran
and
north Korea would have been beautiful. With the 65,000 US deaths in the
first two years a draft would have been necessary.
In which case I would have dodged it - of course.
Probably via bribes. The Amalfi coast would have been my new stomping
grounds.

What are you bitching about? We have two wars going now with an
expansion
on the way.

So?

"So"? So your getting what you wanted.

the casualties are low enough to stay off the public's radar.

So what is it you want? 65,000 deaths?

with thousands of plantiffs claiming their brand new 27" iMacs
wouldn't work and Apple denied the the problem?

**** happens. Look at the reliability surveys - if you can read.

If Macs just work. Why sell Apple Care at all?

Again, because machines break - just like everything.

So why are you bitching about your imaginary HP?

Did you see the video?
How do you figure its imaginary? Honest question.
Are you blind as well as stupid? Did I search teh intarnetz for these
specific videos?
Its not like you have any industry or job experience so why is this so
hard for you to believe?
I replaced the battery and AC adapter and this is the result.
Yes, I let the battery charge.

Here's a video of the ficticious HP next to the ficticious Macbook Pro,
on
the ficticious desk taken by a fictitious camera.

How do you 'Dozers put up with this kind of quality? Can't you afford
an
Apple? Are you the kind of asshole who buys a Dodge Caliber, brags and
buys another one every year?
Are you so set in your ways you refuse to learn something new? You'll
get
really far with that attitude.

Actually, I have gotten far - very far. Now the problem is how to get
far
from you and your ilk. Trouble is - you all are like roaches at the
trough.

Yes, you got to usenet - that's far.

you're confused - PCs are like roaches. Since there's more of the they
MUST be superior! We've been over this.

They have been here for 220 million years. They are going to eat you after
you're dead. They'll probably outlast man. You really are a sad dunce.

I don't think!

Fixed.

And restored:

"downtime"? "business"? You bought a *consumer* *entertainment*
*notebook*, *without* extended warranty! How clueless can you
get!?

"MBA"? I don't think so!

These clowns are SO predictable. When confronted with their own
cluelessness, they can only resort to post-editing.

The guy is only trolling. And you are taking the bait.

Nope. He lacks the qualities needed to (be a) troll.

I disagree. He lacks the qualities to be a GOOD troll.

We're saying the same thing, but IMO a bad troll just isn't a troll.

But I'll say this;
his new sock has actually progressed.

I also wrote (and you snipped (why?)):

QED. HTH. HAND. EOD. NI.

I snipped it because I don't know what it means.

Then you probably shouldn't tell others that they're being trolled and
taking the bait.

Why is the truth distastful?

I didn't get to square one - it's past 4:20.

All I'm doing is education people about HP quality and service.
This way when they google it - they'll see this awesome thread and get
another brand.
I'm doing my part.

Your wasting your time. The target market here is tiny and informed, and
they don't give a hot **** about your opinions. It shows just how incapable
you are. I personally prefer Dell over HP. More bang for the buck. And you
get a better machine than an Apple for a third of the price.

WIN! WIN!
