Aspire 1800 notebook, need help with TS

I have an aspire 1800 notebook, and when I bought it, I also purchased
and registered with the acer advantage extended warranty (3 year).
Just recently, the monitor bit the big one (very dim, in fact all is
black except the rightmost 2" or so, and sometimes it flickers
somewhat brighter, external monitor works fine when connected).

Anyways, Acer's TS page seems to be fairly useless. I enter all my
information like serial number to ask a simple questions like "where
do I take this thing to get fixed", but the web site keeps telling me
the notebook is registered to someone else (not likely, I bought it
new a little over a year ago). I live in Alaska, and I'm not sure
where will have to take it.
