Default Parhelia and MS Flight Sim problems

Anyone had problems with this card and this programme?

I got apptimizer to set it up - but the graphics keep 'blocking' and it only
works in full screen mode, so I cant get to see the menu.

I'm running a hugh end machine with 1 meg of memory and a 2.4G processor -
so it can't be that!!

Any helpful suggestions?

Thanks

You need to give more details. What do you mean by:

- "the graphics keep 'blocking'"
What graphics? 3d graphics or 2d graphics, on which screens? How does it
'block'? Does everything appear as squares, or parts (which parts) or do
you mean 'blocking' as in freezing?

- "it only works in full screen mode"
Define "works". What exactly happens if you try to use windowed mode?
"Works" is way too vague of a word, and so would "doesn't work" be. Does
the program crash, and if so, exactly how? Is your request to run in a
windowed mode ignored?

- "so I can't get to see the menu"
What happens if you press the Alt key?

That's not a high end machine. That's a mid range machine, if that. The
2.4C is the lowest end P4 that's currently being sold, and unless you have
the the 800MHz FSB version of the P4, i.e. you have a 400MHz or 533MHz FSB
CPU, I'd even consider it low end for gaming. A high end Intel machine
would at least need a P4 3.0C, if not a 3.2C or dual Xeons.
But I agree, that is probably not your problem.

The first question I would like to ask is: Do you have three monitors?
If not, do NOT run Apptimiser. It's meant for switching back and forth
between surround gaming (with 3 monitors) and single monitor use. It may
very well screw up settings for people who only have one or two monitors.

Regards,
