Default Error msg when trying to burn video type files

I get the following message when I try to burn some video files d/l'ed
from the net. They are the type that have AUDIO and VIDEO directories
right off the root, as well as *.BUP, *.IFO and *.VOB files.
Here is the message. Any suggestions? What should I do?
All I can think of is to burn it as a DATA file and then I can only
watch it on my computer.

FIRST ERROR MSG:
DVD-Video Files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-Video might
be Unplayable. Do you want to continue?

IF I say yes, then I get

SECOND ERROR MSG:

A non critical error occurred during the operation, which may result
in a defective write. DO you wish to continue the write anyway?

Thank you. If you can suggest a better group to post please advise
me.

Try a known good DVD and see if you can burn that.

You're mangling the story considerably there.
Thats what you do with avi files, not with VOB files etc.

What did you try and burn the DVD with ?
