Overlay problem with my G550 when using the second monitor.
Hello,
I bought a G550 yesterday. I have two monitors plugged on it. I understand that only the primary monitor is able to create overlay surface and that's a limitation I can live with. But it appears that I can't use overlay, even on the primary monitor. My TV apps (which require overlay support) die at launch with errors like "can't create overlay surface" or "your video card can't do overlay". The only way I was able to use overlay with the G550 was by deactivating the second monitor. Worked like a charm, but of course not a real solution. I suspect there's something wrong with my setup (Athlon Barton 2500+ on an Epox EP-8K9AI mobo, 512 Mo DDR, 2 AOC 9A+ monitors, Pinnacle PCTV, Windows XP Pro SP-1 latest pre-SP2 patches), but a quick browse in the group archive didn't help me figure what's going wrong with it. TIA, JFL |
