Default problem with DVD RW installation

Hello,

Can anyone help with following problem. I installed a new motherboard Asus
A7V8X-X. All hardware remains the same, except a new DVD+/-RW from BTC.
Running windows 2000

Everything works fine, except the DVD. It always asks to put something in
the drive, but whatever i put in there cannot be read.
It is recognized in BIOS of motherboard.

IN the BIOS, set this drive as "NONE". See if that helps. -Dave
