Default Separating HS&F from CPU ...

What might be the slickest/easiest way to separate a heatsink from a CPU?
the last time I tried to pull up on one, the proc came out of the socket and
the 'arm/lever' was still in the locked positions. Luckily none of the pins
were bent or scrapped to much that it would not work ... everything was fine
but I do not want to go thru this again, especially w/ a CPU that is rather
difficult to find w/ the specs I want, you could say ...

Thanks to anyone yet again,

Sniper

Been there. Try removing it by twisting it back and forth before and as
you pull on it. And do it when it's hot. Just after shutdown.
