Default Cpu life expetancy after o'c?

I have just successfully overclocked my Athlon xp 2800+ from default speeds
of 12.5 x 166 fsb to 11 x 200 fsb. All is running smooth so far and device
manager now detects cpu as an Athlon xp 3200+. I also adjusted the dimm
voltage from 2.6 up to 2.7. My question to you seasoned overclockers is what
will this 8% increase in cpu output from 2.09 GHz to 2.20 GHz do to its
life expectancy? Avg cpu temps are up from 52c-58c to 54c-60c with stock
cooling. Do you guys leave your riggs o'c'd 24/7 or just for gaming and
benchmarking.
Are the Athlon Barton 2500, 2800, and 3200 the same cpu with different
multipliers?
Cheers
Milo

It wont do anything at all.. Considering you oc'd a chip made for 2200 to
2200..
I guess if the 2800+ has a lower life expectancy than the 3200+ then you
could say your now on the 3200+ timeline.. but I figgure you'll dump the
unit about 20 years before the processor would die

not a lot I would have thought,
if you believe "cpu idle" a 10C drop in temperature doubles the life of a
processor. But what is the life of a processor? - I still have an i8088
going strong, and 486s galore. But the point is even if the life of your
processor is 10 years and you are going to half its life - do you really
think it will be anything but a minor inconvenience if a three year old
processor, let alone a five year old processor dies.

Avg cpu temps are up from 52c-58c to 54c-60c with stock
cooling.

that seems quite a high initial temperature, but if the cpu is still
stable... But myself I try and keep it bellow 50C (which in the summer I
can not do)

24/7 - but I do a lot of video work (and run seti) - but I can run it faster
in the winter than I can in the summer. But I do have a piece of software
installed that can adjust fsb/vcore/vdimm from inside windows, which I use
to tweak settings to keep temperature bellow 55C (when my 2500+ becomes
unstable and produces errors in prime95 and applications bomb out)

pretty much, just generally the better ones get given the higher speed
ratings, but some times market demands release better cores at lower ratings
