Default new build

I'm in the very beginning stages of a new build is this good start?

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 125W
Dual-Core Processor

What motherboard would compliment this CPU? With little or or no
overclocking.

Mostly entertainment PC...Games, XP Pro

thx norman

For boards, there's too many good one's to choose from.
I would suggest also starting with a PSU of 500 or higher.
This gives room to expand later. If I were building something like what
your asking about, I'd probably start with something around an 800 Watt PSU.
It's really a better idea to overdue it on a PSU for a few reasons.
One I already mentioned, the other is being sure to have enough power.
The third reason would be for later upgrade.
For instance, if you start with a 1Kw PSU (1,000 Watts)
It gives you that much more headroom to expand.
The rest of what goes in it, is up to you.
FievelMousekewitz.. Take Care.. :-)
