Any suggestions for a Dell Motherboard to replace the original
motherboard with something faster?
Thanks,

Any one of the Dimension 2400, Dimension 3000, Dimension 4600, and Dimension
4700 motherboards will fit, but it's a bit of work and added expense. I have
to look inside a 2350 chassis if I still have one here and check the wiring
inside again.

If the spreadsheet I made up is accurate, you have to replace the rear case fan
and do some rewiring of all the front panel connectors to do an upgrade. In
addition, the Dimension 4700 requires a 24-pin ATX power supply.

Even if you like the 2350 case very much (some do, some don't), this is more
trouble, time and expense than it is worth. The 4600 is possibly the most
attractive option because it has 4 DDR DIMM sockets, 865 chipset and AGP slot
(in addition to the on-board graphics. Still a helluva lot of work... Ben Myers

Would you be willing to post this to the group, or provide a link to
it by any chance ? - just thinking it might help others in sorting out
cross-compatibility issues (which seem to appear fairly often)

Cheers
