Write protect error on HD
Hi,
When i try to start my computer, the windows98 start screen comes up, then I get an "error writing to drive c", "disk is write protected" What's going on here? I've run a diagnostic on the drive and it checks out. I have a new hard drive waiting to go in, but I would like to salvage the material on this drive. maybe the MBR or boot sector is fried? Windows98 does start to boot, but then it freezes. Thanks in advance! |
