What good is Neros' "Image Drive" if you can't even use it to modify the content in the image file before burning? Any FAQ (for dummys) available on this subject? Tq ...... :-)

Tq ...... :-) Image Drive works fine for its intended purpose, which is to *read* an image file (on the hard drive) of a CD or DVD, just as though it were a CD or DVD in an optical drive. It's handy for such things as carrying your map CD on your laptop for use with your GPS software - you don't have to carry the CD itself, and you get quicker response from the hard drive than from the optical drive. Your question is sort of like "What good is WinDVD (or PowerDVD, if you prefer) if it won't let me modify a DVD before watching it?" I don't know of any FAQs, sorry. HTH, Gino -- Gene E. Tq ...... :-) You can't "modify" an image; at that point it is no longer an image. A CD Image is a sector-by-sector exact representation of the CD in question. Altering it means it is not longer an Image of that CD.
