Default ATOM Does Not Use ECC?

I read that the ATOM processor family does not support ECC. That concerns
me particularly if I am using a storage system or computer based on ATOM for
business data.

Is there any AMD product that has a similar low level of energy utilization
that does support ECC memory?

That is a good point. A lot of people are using Atom, because they are
low power, but also because they are widely available, in NAS and other
small form factors.

The immediate competitors for Atom from AMD are the recently introduced
Brazos Fusion processors. There isn't enough information about them yet
to know if they support ECC or not. Most applications that use Atom or
Fusion are netbook-style laptops, so they wouldn't need ECC. But I think
in general, all of AMD's processors use the same memory controller which
can make use of ECC and buffered RAM.
