Default ct4750 sound card -- worth bothering with?

Someone gave me this card. It's a few years old, dating from about
2000 I believe. It comes with a 5-1/4 front panel, ct4850, with
microphone jacks and regular PC audio jacks, and 4 cds of drivers and
software. The card itself looks to be a $10 or so item on ebay.

My system is new this year and has integrated audio. I wouldn't
bother to buy a sound card, but I'll install a free one if it's worth
doing. So, can anyone advise me if this is likely to enhance the
capabilities of my PC for recording, editing and playing audio, or is
it too out-of-date?

Honestly? No. It was a good card several years ago then Creative
brought out the SB AWE32 which blew it away succeeded itself by the SB
Live! and then the Audigy range.

If you want a good card that goes for pennies on E-Bay get a SB Live!

Thanks. I figured this might be the case. I'll toss it in the junker
parts bin.
