Default RILOE-II and 6400

Ok, after getting the RILO card to work in the 6400... it dies. Well, not
dead but aparrently a video memory problem..

So I gets a RILOE-II. Oh, seems faster. Thats nice. Oh, slicker... thats
nice too.

Boot from smartstart... first splash screen appears. Then nothing. Look in
the logs - shows "server reset". Cold boot, same thing.

Any ideas? Does the RILOE-II "work" in a 6400R or is there a conflict?

Do I need to remove card, create sysem partition, install OS, add RILOE-II
card?

Any help appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Alan

are you using the video connector, and the keyboard/mouse via the RILOE II ?
Also, it needs to be in a supported slot (closest to the memory board).

Cheers,

Yep. video into the RILO video port, mouse and keyboard ditto via the T
lead.

Its in slot 6 - 6400 only supports RILO cards in 5 and 6. I'm assuming
same of RILOE-II

RILOE II is not a supported option for a 6400R. It has to be a RIB or a
RILOE.

Damm.

Is that "not supported because its an old server" or "not supported
because it does not work"?
