Default DDR400 mem in a DDR333 mobo

Hello,
This is kind of a noobish question, but...
I have an ASUS P4S533-X mother board, in the manual it says that the
mobo suports up tp PC2700 (DDR333).
My question is, can I install PC3200 (DDR400) memory cards, or the
mobo/cards will burn?

Thanks

Yes, they'll work. You can do one of two things. You can either run the
memory at the lower setting, or you can try to overclock the board to run
the memory at its recommended setting.

I'll take the first optio, it's safer. Thanks.

Yes your RAM will work, your DDR333 board will run the DDR400 ram, but
underclocked to 333, you could try overclocking your FSB to support
the new memory speed, but.....Not reccommended for N00BS
