OT Inter explorer problem
I am getting an error message on almost one fourth of web pages I
open. The message says internet explorer cannot open the pages http. I see the page opened in the backround, but the message on top. the message also says operation aborted. The only option I have is clicking yes, which closes out my internet explorer, and then I must reopen it again. This is getting very frustrating. There are no details on the error message. Any idea what could be happening. I am using dsl, on win xp pro, ie. 6.0, norton anti virus. Much regards Jerry |

What setting do you have for security (tools|options|security)? Perhaps you
have the highest level set which can cause explorer to reject many messages - I have reduced the security level one step without problems and the situation cleared up. Note: I do run Norton AV and Zone Alarm when accessing high speed cable. Tom "j.lef" wrote in message ... I am getting an error message on almost one fourth of web pages I open. I tried as you suggested and no change. Any other hints? I would hate to do a complete clean install to fix the problem, but if this keeps up, it will have to be done. Much regards Jerry |

Did you install the Hotfix Q332184? See this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default...9&Product=ie60 0 Thanks for the tip. Unfortuanately I do not have that particular hotfix installed, and for the fix to work, that is one of the two parameters neccessary. I am still open to other suggestions as what may be the trouble. Much regards Jerry |
