Default Enable DMA or Not ?

Hi,
I changed my 4 year old cd rom drive which I believe had DMA enabled to a
new cd/rw, I see DMA is not enabled.

I installed it as "Master" as per the removed cd drive and its a Win'98
system with 400 (P11 equivalent) processor.

Should I enable DMA ?
Thanks.

Mike

Yes, otherwise burn speed will go down and cpu usage will go up.

Absolutely. Never try to run a current burner in PIO mode.
