Default Ref the Missing Icons

Yesterday I was running a program called Fix It and it went through its
activities
and when it fished it showed 2 errors in the registry and I hit the
button to fix
them and all of a sudden up flashed about 30 icons and then disappeared
again.
So I will assume then there must be a problem within the registry that
won't
allow the icons to be visible. But at least I know (I think) that they
are there
but just not visible.
